You have found a first supervisor and, if necessary, a second supervisor, signed the supervision agreement, prepared the research proposal? You are now ready to take the next step and register as a doctoral candidate.
General information on submitting an application
The applications are processed chronologically. The formal review prior to a committee meeting, the required preparation times of the doctoral committee members, taking into account the deadlines (2 weeks before the meeting) and the varying complexity of the respective applications take time. The doctoral committee usually decides on the application in the second meeting following registration at the latest.
Attachments to the application form for admission
Regarding point 3: All semesters for which you were enrolled at a university must be visible, even in the event of a change/termination (proof either by certificate of study progress or certificate of exmatriculation).
Regarding point 4: An overall grade of 'good' is required for admission. This is indicated on the certificate. Normally, grades up to 2.5 are accepted as 'good'. However, this is determined individually by the universities themselves.
Regarding point 5: A copy of the university entrance qualification (also foreign) is sufficient, does not have to be notarized.
Regarding point 9: Formulation as free text (no template available): Involvement in the research project (funding), introduction to the scientific community, explanation of how the doctorate fits into the context, ensuring good supervision, should make doctoral projects more tangible.
