LECTURE PERIOD CALENDAR (2024/2025) | March 16, 2026 – June 26, 2026 → The compulsory online Intensive German courses always start 4 weeks before the start of the semester. → Our Welcome Reception (mandatory) takes place the week before the start of lectures. | ||

GRADING SCALE | 1 sehr gut | (very good) is the best possible grade and is given for outstanding performance | |

All courses are offered entirely in English in our International Study Programme (ISP). We also offer the opportunity to take those interdisciplinary courses which also allows you to complete a full exchange semester! More information can be found below under "study catalog in English". GERMAN LANGUAGE COURSES (Mandatory) | We offer four-week ONLINE German Intensive courses prior to each semester as well as a wide range of German courses during the semester. All exchange students are required to attend at least one German language course. VISA (for non-EU citizens) PROOF OF FINANCIAL MEANS | Obtaining a visa for Germany takes at least 6 weeks. We recommend applying for a visa 6-8 weeks before departure to avoid late arrival. https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/visa-service/-/215870 Non-EU students must submit proof of financial means when applying for a visa, at the latest when applying for a residence permit in Germany. The proof of financial means serves to demonstrate that every international student can cover their living costs. | ||
