Fragen zum Promotionsablauf (Questions about the PhD process)
Kann ich meinen Antrag auf Annahme beim Promotionsverband bereits stellen, wenn ich mein Masterzeugnis noch nicht vorliegen habe?
Sie können den Antrag erst stellen, wenn die Gesamtnote Ihres Masterabschlusses vorliegt. Sollte Ihnen eine Bestätigung Ihrer Gesamtnote vorliegen, können Sie den Antrag bereits einreichen und die Urkunde und das Zeugnis nachreichen.
Can I already submit my application for acceptance to the Promotionsverband if i do not have my Master's Degree Certificate and Transcript available?
You can only submit the application once you have received the overall grade of your Master's degree. If you have received a confirmation of your overall grade, you can already submit the application and submit the certificate and transcript later.
Doktorgrade (Doctoral Degrees)
An der HFT Stuttgart kann aktuell in den folgenden drei Forschungseinheiten promoviert werden:
Forschungseinheit 1 | a. Doctor philosophiae – Dr. phil. b. Doctor oeconomiae – Dr. oec. c. Doctor rerum politicarum – Dr. rer. pol. d. Doctor rerum socialium - Dr. rer. soc. |
Forschungseinheit 3 | a. Doctor rerum naturalium – Dr. rer. nat. b. Doktor-Ingenieurin/Doktor-Ingenieur – Dr.-Ing. |
Forschungseinheit 4 | a. Doktor-Ingenieurin/Doktor-Ingenieur – Dr.-Ing. b. Doctor rerum naturalium – Dr. rer. nat. |
- Der Doktorgrad wird vom Promovierenden im Antrag auf Annahme ausgewählt.
- Er kann bis zur Eröffnung des Promotionsverfahrens geändert werden.
- Der Doktorgrad muss von der Forschungseinheit vergeben werden können (siehe oben).
- Final entscheidet der Promotionsausschuss.
- Eine Abstimmung/Beratung mit dem Erstbetreuenden ist sinnvoll.
Which doctoral degrees can be obtained at HFT Stuttgart?
At Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, doctorates can currently be completed in the following three research units:
Research Unit 1 | a. Doctor philosophiae – Dr. phil. b. Doctor oeconomiae – Dr. oec. c. Doctor rerum politicarum – Dr. rer. pol. d. Doctor rerum socialium - Dr. rer. soc. |
Research Unit 3 | a. Doctor rerum naturalium – Dr. rer. nat. b. Doktor-Ingenieurin/Doktor-Ingenieur – Dr.-Ing. |
Research Unit 4 | a. Doktor-Ingenieurin/Doktor-Ingenieur – Dr.-Ing. b. Doctor rerum naturalium – Dr. rer. nat. |
- The doctoral degree is selected by the doctoral candidate in the application for acceptance.
- It can be changed until the doctoral procedure is opened.
- The doctoral degree must be awarded by the research unit (see above).
- The doctoral committee makes the final decision.
- Coordination/consultation with the primary supervisor is advisable.
